Qualifications

• Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of quality engineering in automotive manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Support production quality activities in an automotive plastic injection molding environment.
• Lead and participate in APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and 8D activities.
• Investigate quality concerns and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Support launch readiness and new product introductions.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and customers to resolve quality issues.
• Conduct root cause analysis and drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain compliance with IATF 16949 standards.
• Assist with internal audits and quality system improvements.
• Develop quality alerts and maintain quality samples.
• Train production personnel on quality standards and practices.
• Support customer complaint resolution and warranty investigations.

Quality Engineer Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

• Support production quality activities within an automotive plastic injection molding environment.

• Investigate quality concerns and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.

• Work closely with production, engineering, and customers to resolve quality issues.

• Train production personnel on quality standards and best practices.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing processes and product quality.

Quality Engineer Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of Quality Engineering experience in automotive manufacturing.
• Experience within a plastic injection molding manufacturing environment is required.
• Strong knowledge of: APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, SPC, 8D Problem Solving, & ControlPlans
• Experience supporting production quality and corrective action
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• BMW customer experience.
• IATF 16949 experience.
• Internal auditing experience.
• Launch readiness experience.
• Quality training and coaching experience.
• Tier 1 automotive supplier experience.
• Continuous Improvement / Kaizen experience.
• Experience of handling customer complaints and warranty claims.
