Job summary

McMillen, Inc. seeks a qualified Quality Control Manager with heavy civil construction experience to lead the QA/QC program across dam and lock electrical projects.

You will implement and manage QC procedures, ensuring all work meets contractual requirements and quality standards while coordinating inspecting and testing services for successful project delivery. The role requires a Bachelor's in Construction Management or Engineering, 5+ years in heavy civil QC, and USACE experience or CQCM

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of heavy civil construction experience in a Quality Control capacity.
• Experience with dam and lock electrical work is required.
• USACE CQCM certification or ability to obtain certification.
• OSHA 30 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Quality Control practices and procedures
• Ensure all work complies with contractual requirements, specifications, and drawings
• Verify materials incorporated into the project meet approved submittals and specifications
• Execute required testing procedures in accordance with contract documents and industry standards
• Prepare professional correspondence for clients, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders
• Monitor, document, and track QC documentation, including daily reports, testing and inspection reports, and preparatory/initial meetings
• Review special inspections and material testing performed by third parties
