Job summary

Gilbane Federal is seeking a Quality Control Manager for DoD construction projects with 100% travel. This on-site role will manage QC staff, processes and deliverables across projects nationwide.

You will lead inspections, coordinate with design and construction teams, ensure compliance with QA plans, and mentor staff. Travel dominates, with subsistence support and the opportunity to impact landmark facilities.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management or CMAA Certification.
• Minimum 10 years construction experience, 4 as QC Manager.
• USACE/NAVFAC Construction Quality Management training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interface professionally with client representatives and subcontractors.
• Review designs and provide feedback to designers.
• Manage in-depth technical reviews of submittals against design documents and manage submittal review and approval status through submittal register.
• Implement the requirements of approved QC Plan, assuring all required records are generated and managed.
• Identify deficiencies and non-conformances, prepare documentation, and monitor and verify corrective actions.
• Stop work if necessary to resolve non-compliant work or safety issues.
• Coordinate and document commissioning and formal completion inspections.
• Manage timely project closeout and turnover of documents.
• Train direct reports on processes and daily tasks.
• Foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
