Job summary

Gilbane Building is seeking a Quality Control Manager for large DoD construction projects in the United States. You will manage QC staff, processes, and activities, driving safe, compliant execution and timely project closeouts.

You will lead with a coaching mindset, set priorities, and communicate progress while building high-performing teams and leveraging industry insights for competitive advantage.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management or CMAA Certification.
• Minimum 10 years construction experience, 4 as QC Manager.
• USACE/NAVFAC Construction Quality Management for Contractors training certification preferred.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Interface with client representatives and subcontractors in a professional manner.
• Review designs and provide feedback to designers.
• Lead in-depth reviews of submittals against design documents.
• Implement the approved QC Plan and ensure records are generated.
• Identify deficiencies and monitor corrective actions.
• Stop work to resolve non-compliant issues affecting safety.
• Coordinate commissioning and formal completion inspections.
• Manage project closeout and turnover of all documents.
• Train direct reports on processes and daily tasks.
• Manage workload and performance of direct reports.
• Foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
• Communicate department strategy to direct reports.
• Collaborate with business development to align with sales strategies.
