Job summary

A nationally recognized general contractor is seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to lead QA and compliance on high-profile federal construction projects. You will own the project’s QC program, coordinating with field leadership, subcontractors, and government representatives to ensure contract requirements, specifications, and quality standards are met.

Travel or relocation to project sites is required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Quality Control Manager on federal construction projects is required.
• Experience with USACE, NAVFAC, Department of Defense, VA, GSA, or similar federal agencies.
• Strong working knowledge of the Three-Phase Control system and federal construction requirements.
• Current Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQM-C) certification, or ability to obtain it before assignment.
• Experience with RMS and construction quality documentation.
• Ability to interpret plans and specifications, resolve issues, and hold subcontractors accountable.
• Willingness to travel or relocate to project locations.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage the project-specific Quality Control Plan.
• Lead the Three-Phase Control process: preparatory, initial, and follow-up inspections.
• Review submittals and coordinate inspections and testing.
• Maintain accurate daily QC reports, inspection records, and RMS documentation.
• Identify deficiencies, oversee corrective actions, and verify resolution.
• Serve as the primary quality control contact for government representatives.
• Coordinate punch lists, final inspections, and quality documentation through closeout.
