Job summary

Barrett Paving Materials Inc. is seeking a Quality Control Manager to supervise daily QC activities for asphalt production and paving operations.

You will ensure sampling, testing, and documentation are performed accurately and in compliance with DOT specifications and company standards. You will oversee QC Technicians, coordinate with operations, auditors, and engineers, and train staff on testing procedures and safety.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of asphalt QA, materials testing, or heavy civil construction.
• Experience with DOT specifications and quality programs.
• Ability to supervise QC Technicians and mentor staff.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel Mid-West Central Region.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day QC activities at plants and project sites.
• Ensure sampling, testing, and inspection per specs.
• Review results for accuracy and compliance with specifications.
• Coordinate with inspectors, DOT reps, and engineers as needed.
• Provide training on testing procedures and safety requirements.
• Maintain required documentation and testing logs.
