Job summary

Barrett Paving Materials Inc is seeking a Quality Control Technician to operate the production workstation and ensure high-quality output on schedule, while adhering to safety regulations. The role entails testing aggregates, asphalt, and concrete, recording results, and supporting process improvements.

You will collaborate with production and engineering teams, participate in audits, and help refine QC procedures.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; a related-degree is preferred.
Experience in quality assurance/quality control in construction or paving materials.
Knowledge of QC methodologies, standards and testing procedures.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and cross-department collaboration.

Responsibilities

Inspect raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure specs.
Test aggregates, asphalt, and concrete using proper methods and equipment.
Document testing results and quality control actions.
Identify quality issues and work with production and engineering on corrective actions.
Assist in developing and refining QC procedures.
Ensure safety regulations during inspections and tests.
Collaborate with other departments on quality-related issues.
Participate in audits to assess QC effectiveness.
