Job summary

APAC Central Inc. in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Lab Supervisor to lead the Quality Control Lab and field-testing efforts.

You will manage a team of technicians, ensure asphalt, concrete, and aggregate specs meet safety and performance standards, and drive continuous improvements across lab operations. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 4+ years in quality control, strong familiarity with ASTM/AASHTO standards, and willingness to travel to project sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (4+ years in Quality Control).
• Solid understanding of construction material testing standards (ASTM, AASHTO).
• Ability to lead a team and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Comfortably using lab equipment and traveling to job sites.

Responsibilities

• Supervising daily lab activities and technician training.
• Overseeing lab testing on asphalt, concrete, and aggregates.
• Designing and submitting mix designs for asphalt, concrete, and aggregates.
• Performing field testing including core sampling and density testing.
• Handling material certifications for internal and external clients.
• Acting as main contact for DOTs and independent labs.
• Advising on test results and alerting on deficiencies.
• Maintaining documentation of results and communications.
