Cotality is seeking a qualified QA Automation Engineer to develop and design robust test automation solutions. You will analyze test plans and collaborate with QA and development teams to automate procedures, ensuring quality across web solutions. Mentoring junior staff and sharing new methodologies will be part of the role.

The position offers telecommuting options from anywhere in the U.S. and requires a CS/Engineering-related degree with 2 years of relevant experience.

Job Description

• Develop and design test automation solutions. Automation test solutions involve activitiessuch as:maintainability, reliability, separation of test code and test data, recovering fromunexpected run-time events,synchronizing test cases with the application under test, and providing meaningful testresult.
• Analyze testplans, test cases, test data, test scenarios, andother test documentation.
• Learn, assess, analyze, andresearch test automation processes in collaboration with other QA and dev teams to automate testprocedures. Determine if testingcan be automated.
• Determine and share new methodologies.
• Apply a consistent and repeatable methodology to the testing ofsoftware to maintain quality standards for company products.
• Make recommendationstoprocesses andstandards.
• Maintain documentation of test results to assist in debugging andmodification of software.
• Collaborate with team members on quality improvements (i.e., testing methods, tools, automation). Makerecommendationstoquality processes.
• Provide metricsfor test results.
• Mentor less experienced memberswhen applicable.
• Coordinate the execution of test plans among the QA team members for all new contentadded to all web solutionseach sprint.
• Pre-qualify every production release deployment by ensuring that allsmoke and automation tests have been completed successfully.

Job Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or closely related field (or foreign equivalent) plus two (2) years of experience in the job offered or a closely related occupation.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Must possess expertise/knowledge sufficient to adequately perform the duties of the job being offered.
• Expertise/knowledge may be gained through employment experience or education.
• Such expertise/knowledge cannot be “quantified” by “time.”

Required expertise/knowledge includes:

• Experience with advanced test automation framework development using Selenium;
• Proficiency programming in Java and JavaScript; API Testing and Mastery: experience using Postman and automating
• API testing using JavaScript; CI/CD Integration and DevOps Tooling using Jenkins and GitHub;
• Performance and Load Testing using JMeter;
• Experience with the following distributed version control system: Git;
• Experience with mobile testing for IOS and Android devices using Sauce Labs;
• Experience with test case management using TestRail; Experience using Jira for backlog management.

40 hours/week.$107,200 - $150,100/year.If offered employment must have legal right to work in U.S. EOE.Position eligible for Employee Referral Program.
