Job summary

SMC Corporation in Noblesville, Indiana seeks a Quality Control Manager to lead the Quality Assurance function and drive ISO compliance across the organization. The role requires maintaining the QMS, coordinating audits, and guiding supplier quality programs while collaborating with engineering and production teams.

You will oversee calibration, CAPA processes, and ERP-related initiatives, with responsibility for training and developing QA staff.

Qualifications

Four-year degree in a related field (Engineering/Technology/Operations).
Three to five years in Quality, Production, Distribution, or Manufacturing supervision.
Strong time management and excellent communication skills.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Proficient with PC applications including ERP systems (Syteline).
Experience in a team-based environment and ability to motivate others.

Responsibilities

Administer and maintain the quality management system for ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
Lead quality audits, supplier quality assessment, and internal QA programs.
Coordinate quality reviews, product design and production QA for new products.
Oversee calibration of test equipment and layout inspection programs.
Manage nonconformances, CAPA and ERP software development efforts.
Support budgets and cost control for the QA department; participate in hiring.
Visit customers for quality reviews and issue resolution as needed.
