Job summary

MIRACORP is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector to ensure a rigorous QC program is applied to federal government construction projects. The role conducts daily inspections, reviews deliverables, and documents findings to support the Project Manager and COR.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering, is a US citizen, and has 10+ years of experience. This full-time position may require night or weekend work and offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• US Citizen
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum 10 years of construction management and/or craft supervision experience on commercial or Government construction projects.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and QC/QA processes.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and maintain accuracy under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Ensure contractor implements and maintains an effective QC program.
• Perform daily inspections to verify all work complies with contract requirements.
• Review contract deliverables and submittals for accuracy and conformance.
• Request and track corrective actions for any deficiencies identified during inspections.
• Develop a project QA plan, including inspection, testing, and reporting procedures.
• Monitor contractor QC inspection and testing activities to ensure compliance.
• Prepare detailed daily QA reports documenting discussions with contractor QC staff, inspection results, and deficiencies; submit reports within 48 hours.
• Participate in preconstruction meetings for work items requiring QA involvement.
• Track and verify corrective actions taken by the contractor.
• Support the Project Manager and COR with QA documentation and communication.
• Work nights or weekends as required by the project schedule.
