Job summary

iQuasar, LLC is looking for a Construction QC Inspector to ensure effective quality control on construction projects in Laurel, MD. The role involves reviewing contract deliverables, conducting daily inspections, and developing construction QA plans.

Ideal candidates will have at least 10 years of construction management experience and a four-year degree in a related field. This is a long-term contract position offered onsite.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years construction management and/or craft supervision experience on commercial or Government construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Ensure effective quality control (QC) program implementation.
• Review contract deliverables and perform daily inspections for compliance.
• Develop a construction QA plan including inspection and testing procedures.
• Prepare daily written QA reports on discussions with contractor QC staff.
• Participate in pre-construction meetings as required by the QA plan.
• Monitor QC inspection and testing activities, including possible nights and weekends.

iQuasar LLC is seeking to fill a Construction QC Inspector position with one of our clients in Laurel, MD. This is a long-term contract position.

• Title: Construction QC Inspector
• Location: Laurel, MD
• Position Type: Onsite
• Clearance: Secret

Responsibilities

• The QC Inspector will ensure the contractor implements an effective quality control (QC) program and uses the provisions daily to control the quality of the work.
• Review contract deliverables and submittals for conformance and perform daily inspections to verify all work is in strict compliance with the contract, and request correction of any deficiencies.
• Develop a construction QA plan for each project including inspection, testing, and reporting procedures, as well as plans for monitoring corrective actions taken by contractors.
• Prepare daily written QA reports recording all discussion with contractor QC staff as well as deficiencies.
• QA reports should be completed and submitted within 48 hours.
• Participate in the pre-construction meetings for each construction work item requiring such by the QA plan.
• Monitor QC inspection and testing activities performed by the contractor. May include working some nights and weekends as the project schedule dictates.

Required Skills

• Four-year degree in construction management, engineering or related field.
