Moog, Inc. in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to lead quality engineering efforts from proposal through delivery. The role reports to the QA Control Manager and is on-site on first shift in our Space/Defense group.

Responsibilities include developing quality methodologies, guiding RCCA actions, managing MRB/FRB processes, and supporting supplier quality. Requires 5+ years in electronics QA and AS9100 experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar technical field.
• Minimum 5 years in a similar electronics lab QA role.
• Experience with AS9100 Quality System is required.
• J-STD and NASA training/experience preferred.

• Analyze process problems and propose solutions per procedures and standards.
• Monitor quality performance data and drive RCCA actions.

Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Reporting To: Manager, QA Control

Work Schedule: Onsite – Phoenix, AZ

Our Space team in Gilbert, AZ is looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join their dynamic team. The Senior QA Engineer will be responsible for quality engineering related functions from proposal stage to final delivery of the product, addressing contract requirements, managing suppliers, supporting design/test phases, managing/supporting MRB’s and FRB’s, and process development/improvement. You will report directly to the Quality Manager and enjoy an on‑site, collaborative working environment on first shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement proactive quality methodologies to effectively and efficiently identify quality issues
• Analyze process problems situations by reviewing facts and creating solutions using operational and engineering guidelines, procedures, regulations, industry standards, and past successes
• Monitor quality performance data used to track progress to goals and to guide root cause corrective action (RCCA)
• Prepare End Item Data Package (EIDP) reports, by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data
• Own customer pre‑ship reviews enabling a seamless shipment of product
• Perform continuous improvements, developing and documenting new processes to support AS9100 Quality System and manage external audits
• Manage / Support FRB’s (Failure Review Board), MRB’s (Material Review Board) to address non‑conformance, manage customer queries, generate non‑conformances documentation, analyze non‑conforming data, and determine corrective actions
• Provide operational/manufacturing support and monitor assembly process control
• Support supplier management, including supplier assessments

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar technical or engineering discipline
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, within an electronics lab environment
• Aerospace/Defense Contracting industry experience is required
• J‑STD and/or NASA training/experience is required; Certifications strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of AS9100 Quality System
• Strong knowledge of LEAN manufacturing principals (e.g., Six Sigma, Green Belt, Black Belt)
• Capable of interpreting engineering drawings and instructions
• In‑depth knowledge of all the protocols for handling electronic hardware and test equipment such as ESD and FOD
• Prior working knowledge of TIPQA or similar tool to manage non‑conformances, suppliers, and quality clauses

Salary Range

Phoenix, AZ $85,000.00–$140,000.00 Annually

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
