Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Lead Specialist, Technical Architect (Quality) for ExamDeveloper to define and drive the quality strategy across multiple agile teams. You will mentor senior engineers, review critical QA work, and spend hands-on time on automation where it has the greatest impact.

You will lead domain-level quality practices, evaluate new tooling including AI-assisted QA, and ensure release confidence across distributed platforms and cloud-native environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of professional quality engineering, software testing, or test automation experience.
• 3+ years operating as a domain-level quality expert across complex distributed platforms.
• Experience influencing quality practices, automation frameworks, or standards across teams.
• Deep experience with test automation strategy, tooling, and quality improvement.
• Experience in large product environments with multiple Agile teams and high volumes of testing.

Responsibilities

• Set strategic direction for the ExamDeveloper quality system and release confidence.
• Partner with Product Architect and Engineering leadership on long-term automation strategy.
• Drive improvements to testing automation, tooling, and QA processes.
• Establish quality metrics and monitor automation health, defect leakage, and cycle time.
• Mentor senior quality engineers and coach teams on automated test suites.
• Provide technical oversight of QA practices and review artifacts for maintainability and quality.
