Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Lead Specialist, Technical Architect (Quality) for ExamDeveloper. This role provides domain-level quality leadership, guiding automation strategy, test frameworks, and quality practices across multiple Agile teams and a distributed QA organization.

You will mentor senior engineers, review critical QA artifacts, and spend hands-on time on testing where your expertise has the greatest impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering/IS or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of professional quality engineering, software testing, or test automation.
• 3+ years as a domain-level quality expert across distributed platforms.
• Proven influence on QA practices, automation frameworks, or standards.
• Deep experience with test automation strategy, tooling, and quality improvement.
• Experience with large product environments and multiple Agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Set strategic QA direction for the ExamDeveloper quality system.
• Collaborate with Product Architect to shape long-term automation and quality strategy.
• Continuously improve QA processes, tools, data, and people practices.
• Establish quality metrics informing decision-making (automation health, release readiness).
• Lead domain quality expert activities across multiple teams.
• Develop robust test coverage and investigate complex defects.
• Stay current with industry best practices in automation and tooling.
• Mentor senior quality engineers and build quality capability.
