Job summary

TPA Motion seeks an experienced Quality Engineer to own and continually improve the QMS aligned with ISO 9001 and AS9100. You will administer documentation, lead internal audits, and manage nonconformances, CAPAs, and supplier quality within a small, on-site team in Fort Mill, SC.

In this role you will review drawings and orders for quality clauses, develop inspection and test documentation, and prepare the organization for audits. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in quality, manufacturing, industrial, or related engineering discipline; equivalent experience possible.
• Five or more years in quality in manufacturing or regulated industries.
• Experience administering ISO 9001 or AS9100 QMS.
• Experience with audits, corrective actions, root-cause analysis, document control, calibration, supplier quality, and nonconforming-material control.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, tolerances, inspection requirements, and customer quality clauses.
• Experience preparing for customer, registrar, or regulatory audits.

Responsibilities

• Own, administer, and continually improve the QMS per ISO 9001 and AS9100.
• Maintain Quality Manual, procedures, forms, records, and compliance calendar.
• Plan and conduct internal audits; coordinate surveillance and regulatory audits.
• Manage nonconformances, CAPAs, customer complaints, containment, and closures.
• Review drawings, specs, POs, quality clauses, and contractual flow-downs.
• Develop/ review inspection plans, control plans, FAI docs, and test records.
• Manage calibration and control of inspection/test equipment; support MRB.
• Maintain Approved Supplier List; support supplier qualification and performance reporting.
• Coordinate Management Review meetings and monitor quality KPIs, risks, and improvements.
• Support DoD requirements including traceability, configuration control, and record retention.
