Job summary

Humana is seeking a Principal Automation Engineer to lead enterprise QE tools strategy, onboarding, and adoption across Quality Engineering. You will shape tool standards, drive automation platform optimization, and mentor teams for improved delivery and traceability.

As a senior technical leader, you will guide integration across Azure DevOps, Tosca, Selenium, Playwright, and AI‑enabled testing, partnering with engineering, DevOps, and architecture to maximize value and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• 12+ years of Quality Engineering, Test Management, Automation Engineering, SDET, or Software Engineering experience.
• 8+ years hands-on experience implementing, supporting, administering, or enabling enterprise testing and automation tools.
• Deep expertise with enterprise QE tools including Azure DevOps, qTest, Tosca, Selenium, Playwright, API Testing and Automation Tools, CI/CD Platforms.
• Strong understanding of Agile, DevOps, CI/CD and quality engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute Humana's QE tools strategy, roadmap, and adoption plans.
• Provide onboarding and support for enterprise QE tools and platforms.
• Collaborate with Segment QE teams to standardize testing practices and tool usage.
• Develop onboarding frameworks, training materials, knowledge repositories, and self‑service resources.
• Support tool configuration, integrations, upgrades, troubleshooting, and operational readiness.
• Establish end‑to‑end integration patterns across test management, requirements, automation, defects, releases, and reporting.
• Ensure traceability across requirements, user stories, test cases, automation assets, defects, releases, and production outcomes.
• Mentor QE, Automation Engineers, SDETs, and delivery teams on tool usage and best practices.
• Drive continuous improvements in tool adoption, governance, and operational excellence.
• Partner with vendor and platform teams to optimize tooling and adoption initiatives.
