Job summary

ChemTreat, a Veralto company, is seeking a QC Technician II in Ashland, VA. This on-site role reports to the Quality Control Manager and focuses on performing analytical testing of materials to verify quality per the QC manual.

You will also manage equipment maintenance and records under management direction. The position is in the Quality department in Ashland, offering a 6am-2:30pm, Monday-Friday schedule, with 2nd shift differential noted in the benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor of Science Degree in chemistry or physical science discipline preferred.
• 2-4 years' experience with laboratory techniques and equipment.
• Strong knowledge of computers.

Responsibilities

• Maintains calibration, standardization and inventory of chemicals and lab equipment as directed.
• Performs material testing, inspection, disposition and records per QC manual.
• Handles non-conforming material with notification and documentation.
• Generates Certificates of Analysis for three plants and drop-ship material.
• Tests and adjusts waste tank material.
• Logs samples and distributes results.
• Filing and resolving vendor discrepancies and documenting activity.
