Job summary

Methuen Construction, a leading self-performing contractor in the Northeast, seeks a Quality Control Manager to oversee the QC program and drive continuous improvement on complex projects.

This exempt, full-time role reports to the VP and leads a QC team, ensuring drawings, specs, tests, and inspections meet contract requirements and industry standards, while mentoring junior staff and coordinating with field teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years' combined experience in construction roles (superintendent, QC manager, project manager or equivalent).
• Bachelor’s degree in civil/ mechanical eng or construction management preferred.
• Experience with Procore and CMiC preferred.
• US Army Corps of Engineers Construction Quality Management for Contractors experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Thorough understanding of project drawings and specifications to ensure compliance.
• Review, track, and process submittals and RFIs, ensuring timely resolution.
• Review and plan construction means and methods with Superintendent.
• Lead pre-activity meetings with all project trades to ensure understanding of requirements.
• Collaborate with Superintendent and project team to plan and sequence phases of work.
• Generate, distribute, and track incomplete work lists, punch lists, and non-conformance notices.
• Prepare project closeout and record documents; mentor junior engineers.
