Job summary

Waters Corporation in Taunton, MA is seeking a Senior QC Lab Technician to support the manufacture of bulk chromatographic materials by performing QC testing and qualification at each stage of the manufacturing process.

The role requires strong technical expertise, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to high-quality analytical results, including testing raw materials, existing products, and new products transferred from R&D to Manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Analytical Chemistry or related field with 3+ years of QC or analytical lab experience, or Master’s with 0–2 years QC experience.
• Hands-on ICP and AAS instrumentation experience for metal analysis is a plus.
• Experience with ICP, AAS, GC, HPLC, UPLC, UPC2, UV-Vis, and wet chemistry.
• Proficiency with Empower, LIMS, SAP and MES; knowledge of cGMP/cGLP, Medical Device and ISO standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform QC testing and qualification of materials at all manufacturing steps using diverse analytical instruments and QC methods.
• Conduct testing with instruments including TGA, CN analyzer, surface area analyzer, porosimeter, density meter, pH, titration, moisture, particle size, SEM, UV/Vis, conductivity, ICP-AES, and other chromatographic tools.
• Execute HPLC and UPLC analyses, including reagent prep, data generation, processing, and compiling QC batch records and COAs.
• Document work per Good Documentation Practices and maintain QC results; participate in audits.
• Maintain lab safety, keep equipment calibrated, and support investigations (OOS, CAPA, NCRs) as needed.
