Job summary

Tolmar is seeking a QC Analyst II (Onsite) for First Shift to perform routine testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products in a cGMP environment. You will train junior staff, maintain detailed records, and ensure instrument care and method transfer activities are executed accurately.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline and 2+ years of analytical laboratory experience. Strong communication and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related scientific discipline and at least two years in an analytical laboratory.
• Working knowledge of cGMP, GLP and ICH guidelines as applied to laboratory testing.
• Experience with instrument-based analyses and routine testing methods.
• Good documentation practices and record-keeping proficiency.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products per regulatory procedures.
• Train junior analysts in analytical methods and lab techniques as directed.
• Document all activities and maintain records per good documentation practices.
• Maintain and use laboratory instrumentation with proper care.
• Perform method transfers and assist with investigations when needed.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and quality initiatives within QC.
• Participate in annual hazardous waste training and related safety practices.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in scientific discipline

Two+ years analytical lab experience

cGMP/GLP/ICH regulatory understanding
