Job summary

Oil-Dri Corporation of America seeks a Quality Control Analyst Team Lead to guide lab QC activities and apply testing methods to ensure product conformance. You will interpret results, train inspectors, and coordinate with production to maintain specifications.

The role requires strong knowledge of QC, SOPs, and QMS processes, with leadership responsibilities and documentation duties in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Must meet assessment requirements for this position.
• Must pass basic computer literacy skills assessment.
• Five years of experience in quality control or an equivalent education path.
• Plans to complete ASQ CQIA within 6 months of hire.
• Plans to complete ASQ CQPA within 24 months of hire.
• Knowledge of physical science is desirable.
• Able to read and act on SOPs, PWI, and related documents.
• Strong problem identification and resolution skills.
• Understanding of process controls and SPC rules.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; works with others as needed.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Performs analytical tests (particle size, titrations, pH, etc.) to verify specs.
• Interprets results, inputs data, and communicates adjustments to teams.
• Maintains and calibrates lab equipment; records calibration results.
• Leads QC team, trains inspectors, and ensures procedural compliance.
• Manages special projects and updates procedures; handles supplies.
• Ensures adherence to ISO, FAMI-QS, HACCP, and related QMS requirements.
• Communicates with production, warehouse, and packaging to resolve issues.
• Maintains clean, organized lab areas and follows safety rules.
