Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a QC Analytical Lead to provide technical insight and leadership to analysts working in-lab. This is not a hands-on, lab-based role, but past benchwork and a strong analytical chemistry background are valued to guide operations and maintain data integrity.

Responsibilities include overseeing data review, coordinating shift coverage, mentoring staff, and supporting the transition to a new laboratory facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related scientific field is preferred.
• Advanced analytical chemistry background with benchwork experience.
• Strong leadership/managerial experience in a cGMP/FDA-regulated environment.
• Experience with data review and data integrity in pharmaceutical settings.
• Experience with HPLC, GC, pH and wet chemistry, and general analytical lab operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of data review processes and maintenance of data integrity standards.
• Coordinate team scheduling and shift coverage to ensure operational continuity.
• Provide subject matter expertise and technical troubleshooting support.
• Lead training initiatives, performance coaching, and staff development.
• Offer guidance and support for analysts in resolving technical questions and challenges.
• Review laboratory data to ensure quality and readiness for release.
• Provide operational leadership and team support during the transition to a new laboratory facility.
