Job summary

Tutor Perini O&G Joint Venture is seeking a QC Engineer to join the Manhattan Jail Project in New York. You will lead quality control for MEP disciplines on a $3.8B, state-of-the-art facility, ensuring compliance with codes and standards while mentoring a team of quality professionals.

Reporting to the QC Manager, you will develop quality plans, implement SOPs, track metrics, and drive continuous improvement across site operations to deliver on schedule, safety, and quality goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in MEP quality control in building construction projects.
• Experience in inspections, audits, and managing quality documentation.
• Familiarity with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
• Proficient with quality management software and MS Office.
• Relevant certifications in quality management (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Expand and Develop standard operating procedures and processes to achieve the highest levels of quality for construction projects.
• Assist with creation of project quality management plans and verify implementation on each project.
• Develop quality metrics and enable cross-functional review with operations.
• Manage a team of Quality professionals handling reporting and site quality planning tasks.
• Conduct random site evaluations and ensure corrections are made to deficiencies.
• Share best practices across project teams and quality staff.
• Stay current with regulatory requirements and evolving best practices in Quality.
• Keep the company informed of updates on quality standards.
