Job summary

Steampunk seeks a Senior Test Engineer to lead QA and test automation across application, cloud, and data systems within an Agile/DevSecOps environment. You will craft test plans and automate validation across functional, performance, and security domains while mentoring junior teammates.

The role requires 8+ years of experience, strong Git, Docker/Kubernetes, and CI/CD expertise, plus security clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 8+ years total experience.
• 5+ years of Git experience with GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket.
• 5+ years in DevSecOps within Agile environments.
• 5+ years of containerized app development with Docker and Kubernetes.
• 5+ years implementing test automation with Selenium, Appium, SoapUI, RestAssured, or Postman.
• 3+ years integrating test automation into CI/CD pipelines.
• 3+ years of performance and load testing.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. government Security Clearance.
• Current PT Clearance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand stakeholder needs and translate them to developers.
• Collaborate with design teams to define testing parameters.
• Create test plans, test cases, and QA reports for products.
• Establish automated testing tools and test automation infrastructure.
• Develop automated testing scripts with parallelization and idempotency.
• Automate and improve development, testing, deployment, and release processes.
• Ensure security and cybersecurity resilience in systems.
• Mentor junior team members and share knowledge.
