Job summary

Steampunk is seeking a Test Engineering Team Lead in Bloomington, IL to drive QA delivery in a DevSecOps environment. You will lead a QA/test automation team, establish testing parameters with product design, and ensure high-quality releases for enterprise systems.

Strong leadership and client-facing skills are required. The role emphasizes automated testing, CI/CD integration, and secure software delivery, with responsibilities spanning from test planning to performance and security testing

Qualifications

• BS degree in IT or related field (or equivalent) and 5+ years leading QA/test automation.
• Experience delivering enterprise software in client environments and Agile/DevSecOps.
• Proven ability to influence sponsors and stakeholders with governance/PM solutions.
• 5+ years with Git SCM providers (GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket).
• 5+ years in programming/scripting languages and DevSecOps in an Agile setup.
• 5+ years implementing test automation with Selenium, Appium, Rest/SoapUI in CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical delivery leader for QA team, ensuring quality and client acceptance.
• Foster innovative thinking across client environments.
• Build and maintain client relationships with strategic vision for teams.
• Guide stakeholders and developers to meet testing requirements and parameters.
• Manage staff performance and training to enable career growth.
• Meet product design teams to determine testing parameters and data needs.
• Create test plans, cases, procedures, and QA reports; manage test data architecture.
