Our challenge:

We are seeking an experienced LOB Quality Architect with deep domain expertise in home loans, loan servicing, default management, collections, and auto finance. The role will be responsible for defining quality strategies, developing risk-based test approaches, and ensuring comprehensive coverage of business processes, LOB data, and system integrations.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $105k - $110k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

• Define and implement quality and test strategies across home-loan servicing, default management, collections, and auto-finance processes.
• Analyze end-to-end LOB processes to identify business, operational, data, integration, and compliance risks.
• Design risk-based test scenarios, test conditions, and coverage models aligned with business priorities.
• Ensure comprehensive testing across functional, integration, regression, system, end-to-end, and user acceptance testing.
• Validate key servicing processes, including payments, billing, delinquency, loss mitigation, default, collections, recovery, and customer communications.
• Define and validate LOB data requirements, data flows, transformation rules, reconciliation, and data-quality controls.
• Lead testing of integrations across lending platforms, payment systems, credit bureaus, collections applications, CRM systems, document services, reporting platforms, and external vendors.
• Review business requirements, process flows, solution designs, and technical specifications for completeness and testability.
• Establish quality gates, test-entry and exit criteria, defect-management processes, and release-readiness standards.
• Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, architects, developers, data teams, compliance stakeholders, and business users.
• Track test coverage, defect trends, quality risks, and release status.
• Provide technical direction and mentoring to QA engineers, test leads, and business testers.
• Identify opportunities for automation, continuous testing, and process improvement.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience in quality assurance, test architecture, or quality engineering within financial services.
• Strong process knowledge in home loans, loan servicing, default, collections, and/or auto finance.
• Proven experience in risk-based test design and enterprise-level test strategy development.
• Experience covering complex LOB data, interfaces, APIs, batch processes, file-based integrations, and downstream reporting.
• Strong understanding of requirements traceability, defect management, quality governance, and release management.
• Excellent analytical, communication, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred, but not required:

Exposure to cloud-based financial services platforms.

Knowledge of DevOps and Continuous Testing practices.

Experience with automation strategy and quality engineering transformation.

Familiarity with AI-driven testing and predictive quality analytics.
