Job summary

FOODMatch, a Mediterranean specialty foods producer and importer, is seeking a Director of Quality Assurance to own governance, accuracy, and compliance of product information across the full lifecycle. This role ensures specifications, labels, ingredients, allergens, packaging data, certifications, and regulatory records remain current and technically sound.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant science or regulatory field.
• Minimum 5 years in a management role.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in food manufacturing, importing, and quality systems.
• Strong understanding of food safety and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own governance of product information across lifecycle including specs, change control, supplier documentation, certifications, labeling data.
• Lead documentation and data standards; ensure accuracy and compliance of product records.
• Oversee change control for ingredients, suppliers, sites, processing, packaging, and labels.
• Establish lifecycle review processes and supervise product lifecycle programs.
• Oversee labeling, claims, regulatory compliance including organic, kosher, non-GMO, gluten-free, and related programs.
• Support audits and regulatory inquiries; serve as QA contact for suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
• Coordinate specification changes and packaging updates with sales and other departments.
• Lead and develop the QA team; set performance expectations and growth plans.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Biology, Chemistry, Regulatory Affairs, Business, Food Engineering, or related field

Master's degree preferred
