Job summary

Champion Foods LLC is seeking a seasoned Quality Assurance leader to oversee QA programs, policies, and initiatives across company products. You will design inspection, testing and training protocols, investigating customer issues and driving audits.

You will mentor QA staff, including training lab personnel in procedures and auditing techniques. You will create updates to quality policies, coordinate supplier quality issues, and support manufacturing with new laboratory procedures while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in food science, Biology, Chemistry or related discipline.
• Minimum of five (5) years quality assurance experience in the food industry and a total of seven (7) years total quality assurance experience.
• Knowledge of food industry manufacturing practices and governmental regulations (FDA guidelines).
• Ability to communicate effectively with franchisees, vendors and other departments, often conveying complex technical data to varied audiences.
• Evidence of ability to document, update and track quality metrics and policy changes.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to travel up to 30% of the time and comply with corporate travel policy.

Responsibilities

• Create and update policies, procedures and programs ensuring product safety and quality.
• Identify and resolve supplier food safety and quality issues.
• Provide technical support and liaise with quality control to develop controls.
• Lead QA staff and train lab personnel in procedures and auditing techniques.
• Coordinate samples, sanitation audits and lab testing across centers.
• Lead recalls and maintain documentation as required.
