Job summary

PTS Advance is seeking an experienced QA/QC Supervisor to lead our fabrication shop quality program. You will oversee the Quality Control team, work with welding, fabrication, and engineering to ensure products meet customer and code requirements, and ship with proper documentation.

You will stay hands-on on the shop floor, guiding inspectors and welders, identifying issues early, and driving corrective actions to improve processes and reduce rework, scrap, and delays.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 10+ years of overall experience and/or training in QA/QC.
• 8+ years of Quality Control in fabrication, welding, piping or manufacturing.
• 3+ years of direct reports management experience.
• Welding and piping expertise with ASME codes and NDT familiarity.
• Ability to read fabrication drawings and quality documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the Quality Control Inspector team.
• Establish quality expectations and provide technical guidance to shop personnel.
• Oversee QA/QC activities across the fabrication process.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, audits, and quality reviews.
• Work with welding and fabrication teams to resolve issues.
• Ensure First-in Inspection and minimize rework and delays.
• Review drawings, specs, procedures for quality requirements.
• Maintain welding procedures and welder qualifications.
• Monitor welding/fab activities for code compliance.
• Coordinate NDT activities and review results.
• Investigate non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
• Track recurring issues and drive process improvements.
• Audit procedures to ensure QC Plan adherence.
• Interact with customers, inspectors, and external quality reps.
• Review and approve quality documentation prior to shipment.
• Apply SPC and quality tools to identify trends.
• Prepare quality reports for management and operations.
• Stay current on ASME, AWS, and industry standards.
• Provide technical support on quality questions.
• Take on other QA/QC responsibilities as needed.
