Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Senior Certified Welding Inspector III to lead welding quality programs, supervise CWIs and Inspectors, review procedures and weld qualifications, and represent the company with engineers, owners, and officials on welding matters.

You will audit fabricators, approve WPS, PQR, and welder qualifications, witness testing, and resolve disputed indications; the role requires a strong command of welding codes and project QA/QC processes, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• AWS SCWI or CWI with 8+ years of welding inspection leadership.
• Experience writing welding quality programs and procedures.
• Familiarity with project welding codes and QA/QC processes.

Responsibilities

• Write, review, and approve welding quality plans and procedures.
• Supervise CWIs and Welding Inspectors across projects and review their reports.
• Audit fabricators and erectors' welding quality systems and witness tests.
• Approve WPS, PQR, and welder qualification packages; resolve disputed indications.
