Job summary

Leidos’ Undersea Systems Division seeks a QA/QC Manager in San Diego, CA to establish and enforce a comprehensive QMS across multi-disciplinary teams. You’ll bridge rapid R&D cycles with low-volume production, develop SOPs, and ensure readiness for at-sea tests and Navy-level compliance.

You will lead training, risk management, and quality improvements while coordinating with vehicle systems and sensor payload teams under a secret clearance requirement and on-site NIWC Pacific work, 9/80B

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7+ years in QA/QC management within Defense, Government Contractor, or high-tech manufacturing.
• Direct experience supporting integrated R&D prototypes and production hardware.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; CQE/CQA and Six Sigma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Write SOPs, WIs, test plans, FMEAs and maintain traceability.
• Bridge R&D to production with scalable quality gates.
• Apply Lean/Six Sigma to optimize testing, assembly, and integration workflows while meeting military specs.
• Ensure Navy/DoD standards compliance across all project activities from design reviews to deployment.
• Oversee QA for vehicle systems and sensor payloads, including testing and environmental survivability.
