Job summary

First Soft Solutions LLC is seeking an experienced QA/QC Engineer for on-site work in Haskell, TX. The role focuses on ensuring all materials, fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning activities meet project specs, codes, and ISO 9001 standards.

You will develop quality documentation, conduct inspections, coordinate with clients and third-party inspectors, and drive continuous quality improvement across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in mechanical/manufacturing engineering or related field.
• Certified Welding Inspector qualification (CSWIP 3.1 or AWS CWI) with welding inspection experience.
• Minimum 5 years QA/QC experience in semiconductor, wastewater treatment, construction, or EPC environments.

Responsibilities

• Attend project kick-off, pre-fab, pre-inspection, and client meetings to review quality requirements and provide technical support.
• Prepare, review, and implement project quality documentation (ITPs, QCPs, MRs, WPS, PQR, WQT/WPQ, test procedures, NCRs).
• Develop and maintain project quality plans aligned with client specs and international standards.
• Coordinate inspections for incoming materials, fabrication, installation, welding, coating, testing, and final acceptance (FRP tanks, pumps, filters, skids, piping, valves).
• Monitor subcontractors and ensure compliance with quality requirements during inspections.
• Review material certificates, test reports, calibration certificates, and quality records for compliance.
• Prepare and manage Non-Conformance Reports, corrective and preventive actions, and root-cause analyses.
• Plan, assign, and supervise QA/QC inspectors; provide training and mentoring to new inspectors.
• Conduct internal quality audits and assist external audits by clients or cert bodies.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 QMS and participate in pre-line walks, hydro/ pneumatic testing, pressure leaks, and commissioning activities.
• Keep all inspection and testing records documented and submitted to clients.
