Job summary

First Soft Solutions LLC is seeking an experienced QA/QC Engineer for wastewater treatment projects, onsite in Boise, Idaho. The role focuses on inspections, documentation, and client coordination through fabrication, testing, and commissioning phases.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in QA/QC for wastewater processes, with welding inspection and NDT familiarity, plus ASME/ASTM/AWS/API/ISO 9001 standards knowledge. This is a 12+ month onsite opportunity.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of QA/QC experience in wastewater projects.
• Inspecting static/rotating equipment, piping and structures.
• Hands-on with pumps, tanks, valves, filters, mixers, pressure vessels and piping.
• Welding inspection, fabrication, installation, and commissioning.
• Knowledge of ASME/ASTM/AWS/API/ISO 9001 standards.
• Experience preparing and reviewing ITPs, WPS/PQR, inspection reports and quality docs.
• Familiarity with NDT methods (VT, PT, MT, RT, UT).
• Experience hydrostatic, pneumatic, pressure and leak testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform QA/QC inspections throughout fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Verify materials, welding, piping, equipment, and structural work meet project quality standards.
• Prepare inspection reports, quality plans, and compliance documentation.
• Identify quality issues, issue NCRs, and coordinate corrective actions.
• Work closely with clients, subcontractors, and third‑party inspectors.
• Support quality audits and ensure ISO 9001 compliance.
• Participate in equipment inspections, piping walkdowns, testing, and final acceptance.

• 5+ years of QA/QC engineering experience, including wastewater treatment projects.

• Strong communication, documentation, and coordination skills.

Work Requirements

• Must be available to work onsite in Boise, Idaho.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Comfortable working in a construction environment, including walking extensively and lifting up to 40 lbs.

Wastewater treatment experience is mandatory. Candidates with only general construction, semiconductor, or manufacturing QA/QC experience and no wastewater treatment background will not be considered.
