Job summary

The American National Quality Assurance Practice Lead is a senior individual-contributor responsible for owning the software quality standards across agile delivery teams in League City, TX. You will define when work is ready to build and release, govern the test architecture, and coordinate IT and Business to carry features to user signoff.

This role requires deep hands-on QA experience, cross-team leadership without direct reports, and the ability to champion testability, UAT readiness, and

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software quality engineering or testing.
• 3+ years operating above the individual team level across multiple teams or an enterprise.
• Hands-on Azure DevOps: Boards, Test Plans, Pipelines.
• Experience coaching Given/When/Then with Product Owners and Scrum Masters.
• Experience defining risk-based regression scope.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve acceptance criteria standard and testability rubric.
• Partner with Product Managers, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters to raise story testability.
• Own test plan and suite architecture in Azure Test Plans.
• Own regression and smoke suite composition with documented rationale.
• Design test coverage for cross-team features and end-to-end journeys.
• Own the UAT operating model and RACI, coaching business testers.
• Own release readiness assessment and signoff ownership.
• Advise on automated test gates in Azure Pipelines and gate governance.
• Own and extend AI-assisted quality tooling and analytics.
• Own the quality measurement dashboards and trends reporting.
