Qualifications

• Hands-on performance and load testing expertise is required.
• Senior specialists, not generalist QA engineers.
• Deep experience with k6 is preferred; Locust/Gatling/JMeter similar tools acceptable.
• Experience in large-scale distributed load generation.
• Strong knowledge of performance engineering: scalability, latency, bottlenecks.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and run comprehensive performance tests.
• Create workload models reflecting production usage.
• Test APIs, event streams, and real-time messaging systems.
• Analyze latency percentiles (P95/P99) and throughput figures.
• Identify bottlenecks across app, messaging, DB, and infra layers.
• Collaborate with infra and dev teams to validate fixes.
• Define performance benchmarks and validate against SLAs.
• Automate performance tests and integrate into CI/CD.
• Produce detailed performance reports and actionable recommendations.
• Support release readiness from performance perspective.
