Hitachi Energy USA Inc. in Houston is seeking a senior Quality Assurance leader to own the QA vision across software development life cycle for grid software products.
You will define QA strategies, KPIs, and audits, drive improvements, and collaborate with engineering, product, and service teams to deliver secure, compliant solutions for utilities worldwide. The role requires a Bachelor’s in CS/engineering and 5+ years of QA experience across SDLC, with ISO 9001/12207 exposure and strong RCA
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of software Quality Assurance experience.
- 5+ years in process definition for developing and delivering software.
- Proven track record setting and monitoring quality KPIs for complex software.
- Experience with ISO 9001 and ISO 12207 audits.
Responsibilities
- Set QA strategy and annual quality improvement plans across the SDLC.
- Define and track quality KPIs; report progress to leadership.
- Lead audits and reviews for compliance and effectiveness; drive actions.
- Resolve escalated customer issues and conduct root cause analyses.
- Evaluate SDLC tools and introduce fit-for-purpose solutions.
- Explore AI trends to enhance quality assessment.
