Job summary

Wipro Limited in the United States is seeking an experienced QA Engineer to design and execute test plans for a Python/FastAPI backend and PostgreSQL. You will build automated suites covering REST endpoints, authentication flows, and AI/ML features, and collaborate with developers to ensure quality throughout development.

The role includes manual validation of Postgres pipelines, testing Azure services, and validating React/TypeScript frontend tests.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software QA/testing roles.
• Python test frameworks (pytest/unittest), API testing tools (Postman, requests).
• SQL/PostgreSQL knowledge; write and validate queries.
• CI/CD and containers (GitLab CI, Docker, Kubernetes/AKS).
• REST API testing and OAuth2/MSAL.
• Familiarity with AI/ML testing (LLM outputs) is a plus.
• Experience testing React/TypeScript apps (Vitest, Testing Library).

Responsibilities

• Design and execute test plans for Python/FastAPI backend and PostgreSQL.
• Build automated functional suites covering REST, auth (Azure AD/MSAL), and async pipelines.
• Manually validate PostgreSQL for document processing and governance.
• Test Azure cloud integrations (Blob Storage, PostgreSQL Flexible Server, Azure OpenAI).
• Collaborate to define acceptance criteria and edge cases early.
• Report defects with reproducible steps; assist root-cause analysis.
• Improve test coverage and gates in the CI/CD pipeline.
• Design/frontend test plans for React/TypeScript apps.
