Job summary

Wipro Limited in the United States is seeking an experienced QA Engineer to design and execute test plans for a Python/FastAPI backend and PostgreSQL. You will build automated suites covering REST endpoints, authentication flows, and AI/ML features, and collaborate with developers to ensure quality throughout development.

The role includes manual validation of Postgres pipelines, testing Azure services, and validating React/TypeScript frontend tests.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software QA/testing roles.
• Python test frameworks (pytest/unittest), API testing tools (Postman, requests).
• SQL/PostgreSQL knowledge; write and validate queries.
• CI/CD and containers (GitLab CI, Docker, Kubernetes/AKS).
• REST API testing and OAuth2/MSAL.
• Familiarity with AI/ML testing (LLM outputs) is a plus.
• Experience testing React/TypeScript apps (Vitest, Testing Library).

Job Description

Role Purpose

The purpose of this role is to facilitate application solutions by developing and reviewing module-level codes, creating replication patterns, performing root cause analysis to identify recurring issues and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure stable, well-documented deliverables that meet business objectives.

Core Responsibilities

• Design and execute comprehensive test plans for a Python/FastAPI backend, and PostgreSQL database
• Build and maintain automated functional test suites using state of the art automation framework that
  • Covers REST endpoints, authentication flows (Azure AD/MSAL), and async processing pipelines
  • Tests LLM-integrated features including RAG retrieval, selling point generation, and recommendation rule engines
• Manual validation for Postgres database (for document processing pipeline, selling point generation, evaluation, governance, etc.)
• Test Azure cloud integrations (Blob Storage, PostgreSQL Flexible Server, Azure OpenAI)
• Collaborate with developers to define acceptance criteria and identify edge cases early in the development cycle
• Report defects with clear reproduction steps and assist in root cause analysis using available logs (file-based logs, datadog logs, etc.)
• Contribute to improving test coverage metrics and quality gates in the pipeline

Preferred Responsibilities

• Design and execute comprehensive test plans for a React/TypeScript frontend
• Build and maintain automated functional test suites using state of the art automation framework that covers frontend applications
• Manul validation of frontend UI including functionality, usability, A11Y, etc.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in software QA/testing roles

• Strong experience with Python test frameworks (pytest, unittest), API testing tools (Postman, requests), andpopular test automation framework (pytest + httpx / requests, karate, Playwright)
• Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL) — ability to write and validate SQL queries
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI preferred) and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes/AKS)
• Experience with REST API testing and OAuth2/MSAL authentication flows
• Understanding of async Python patterns and background job testing
• Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to work independently in a remote/offshore setting
• Experience in financial services or regulated environments is a plus
• Familiarity with AI/ML testing (LLM outputs, embedding pipelines) is a plus
• Experience testing React/TypeScript applications (Vitest, Testing Library, or similar) is a plus

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $80,000 to $160,000 .Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience.
