Job summary

Goldbelt Apex, part of the Healthcare Technology Transformation Group, seeks a Quality Assurance Support Specialist to provide onsite QA for USAMRIID facilities at Fort Detrick, MD. You will work on high-containment systems up to BSL-4, focusing on UMCS, BAS, ESS, and related facility systems.

The role emphasizes review, testing, and validation of construction and maintenance activities, with strong coordination across government personnel and safety teams. Requires active security clearance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in high-containment medical research facilities.
• BSL-3/BSL-4 environments experience.
• Experience reviewing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and performing QC inspections.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite QA support for major repair, maintenance, and construction projects.
• Support procurement and installation of UMCS, BAS, and ESS.
• Review project schedules and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with Facility Managers, Project Managers, and lab personnel.
• Attend meetings supporting operations and construction activities.
• Provide weekly status updates to Government officials.
• Conduct field surveys of facility layouts and conditions.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA, BMBL, AAALAC, CDC biosafety requirements.
