Job summary

Arcetyp LLC is seeking a Quality Assurance Support Specialist for on-site work at Fort Detrick, MD. The role focuses on QA for major facility projects, including mechanical controls and building automation in high-containment environments.

Ideal candidates bring extensive BSL-3/BSL-4 experience, CDC auditing knowledge, and a U.S. citizen with a minimum Secret clearance. Candidate will interact with government personnel and facility teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in high-containment medical research facilities.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical controls.
• Minimum 5 years of Quality Assurance/Quality Control experience at a biosafety laboratory.
• Minimum Associate's degree in a technical discipline such as electrical, mechanical, or related engineering field.
• Experience with high-containment medical research facilities up to BSL-4 involving mechanical controls engineering, programming, installation, plumbing, and validation.
• Experience reviewing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and performing quality control inspections of high-containment medical research design and construction projects up to BSL-4.
• Experience with CDC auditing, accreditation, and certification processes for select-agent and high-containment medical research facilities.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must currently hold a minimum Secret security clearance and maintain the required clearance throughout contract performance.

Responsibilities

• Provides onsite quality assurance support for major repair, replacement, maintenance, and construction projects.
• Supports procurement and installation activities for facility systems (UMCS, BAS, ESS).
• Evaluates project schedules and reviews technical documentation.
• Coordinates daily with Facility and Project Managers and Government personnel.
• Attends meetings supporting operations, repair, maintenance, and construction.
• Provides weekly project status updates to Government officials.
• Conducts field surveys to assess facility layouts and conditions.
• Reviews, commissions, troubleshoots, and inspects high-containment facility systems (BSL-3/BSL-4).
• Coordinates with laboratory personnel on project reviews and planned outages.
• Ensures compliance with CDC biosafety, AAALAC, NFPA, and other criteria.
• Identifies and reports compliance issues to Government officials.
