Job summary

Goldbelt Apex, LLC is seeking a Quality Assurance Support Specialist to provide onsite QA for USAMRIID at Fort Detrick, focusing on UMCS, BAS, and ESS within high-containment facilities up to BSL-4. The role requires collaboration with facility managers, personnel, and government staff.

Responsibilities include procurement support, project documentation reviews, and field surveys; deliverables include weekly status updates and strict adherence to NFPA, BMBL, CDC biosafety standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in high-containment medical research facilities.
• 5+ years QA/QC experience at a biosafety laboratory.
• Associate degree in electrical, mechanical, or related engineering field.
• Experience with high-containment facilities up to BSL-4.
• Ability to review technical documentation, project schedules, and construction activities.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and hold/maintain a Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provides onsite QA support for major repair, replacement, maintenance, and construction projects.
• Supports procurement and installation activities for UMCS, BAS, ESS, and related facility systems.
• Evaluates project schedules and performs technical and project documentation reviews.
• Coordinates daily with Facility Managers, Project Managers, facilities staff, laboratory personnel, and Government personnel.
• Attends meetings supporting operations, repair, maintenance, and construction activities.
• Provides weekly project status updates to Government officials.
• Conducts field surveys to investigate existing facility layouts and conditions.
• Reviews and conducts quality control inspections of high-containment facility systems and projects.
• Coordinates with laboratory personnel regarding project reviews and planned outages.
• Coordinates with infection control and safety personnel to ensure compliance with requirements.
