Job summary

NinjaTrader is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Test to own quality across the trading platform stack, from the web trading UI to back-office services. You will build automation that enables fast, confident releases and partner with engineers and product managers to define acceptance criteria and testability.

Qualifications

• Experience testing trading or brokerage platforms (futures a plus).
• Strong automation fundamentals and a clear sense of automation capabilities.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright and TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Full-stack testing experience: UI workflows through API validation and DB verification.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to work with engineers on testability-by-design and API design.

Responsibilities

• Own quality end-to-end for your squad, from test strategy through release confidence.
• Test across the full stack: browser UI workflows, APIs, databases, and backend services.
• Partner with developers and PMs to define acceptance criteria and testability improvements.
• Design, build, and maintain automation frameworks using modular patterns (e.g., Page Object Model).
• Define automation strategy and quality gates for critical trading flows: order activity, fund movement, and clearing.
• Write functional and integration tests with emphasis on financial correctness.
• Review code and contribute to architecture discussions for observable, testable behavior.
• Mentor junior QA team members through code reviews and pairing.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines with tagging strategies and quality gates.
