Job summary

Bastion Technologies, Inc. seeks a Quality Assurance Engineer/Inspector to support NASA/JPL MASS Subcontract in Pasadena, CA.

You will perform QA inspections, audits, nonconformance, and manufacturing planning for spaceflight electronics and assemblies. Interpreting IPC-J-STD-001, IPC A-600 and NASA 8739.4, you will document findings and collaborate across functions; a bachelor’s degree in engineering and 10+ years’ experience are required.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years of related work experience; 14+ years if no degree.
• Experience with inspection techniques and failure processing, MRBs.
• Knowledge of ISO 9000 quality systems and configuration management.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform QA source inspections, audits and acceptance.
• Conduct workmanship inspections to IPC-J-STD-001, IPC A-600 and NASA 8739.4.
• Document nonconformances and reports; support manufacturing planning.
• Oversee project engineering oversight and technical documentation.
• Provide periodic reports and maintain compliance with quality systems.
• Assist in spaceflight electronics and aerospace assemblies inspections.
• Work with cross-functional teams and adapt to schedule changes.
• Support background checks and safety/drug screening requirements.
