Job summary

Talento is seeking a Senior QA Engineer with 5–7 years of experience to join our technology team on a full-time remote basis. You will design and execute comprehensive test plans for web applications and REST/SOAP APIs, develop robust UI and API automation, and validate security controls per OWASP guidelines.

Ideal candidates possess strong SQL testing skills, experience with OAuth/SAML/OpenID Connect, and a track record of delivering high-quality releases in Agile environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 5–7 years of progressive QA, test automation, and security-focused validation experience.
• Hands-on expertise in functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Experience with UI and API test automation frameworks.
• Strong REST/SOAP API testing and relational SQL database testing.
• Knowledge of OAuth, SAML, OpenID Connect and OWASP Top 10 security guidelines.
• Excellent English communication and collaboration in Agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain test plans, cases, and automated scripts.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing across web and microservices.
• Build and scale UI and API automation frameworks to accelerate releases.
• Conduct REST/SOAP API testing and rigorous SQL data validation.
• Validate authentication workflows and security controls per OWASP Top 10.
• Manage defects, root-cause analysis, and regression verification.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and DevOps in Agile/Scrum.
• Document test frameworks and QA metrics for production readiness.
