Job summary

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (OTS) seeks a Quality Engineer to develop and implement process control methods, perform rigorous testing, and analyze defects to drive corrective actions. You will collaborate with design, production, and suppliers to uphold product quality and compliance.

The role requires strong problem-solving, leadership, and proficiency with MS Office; travel up to 25% is expected in a dynamic, global environment.

Qualifications

Associate's Degree and 5-7 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education & /or Experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Develops and implements methods and procedures for process control, testing and inspection to ensure products are flaw-free and function as designed.
Designs and installs testing equipment and conducts product testing to maintain quality and minimize defects.
Analyzes reports and defective products to identify trends and corrective actions.
Collaborates with supplier representatives on quality problems and contributes to supplier quality improvement programs.
Audits production processes, raw materials, and suppliers to meet established quality standards.
Conducts root cause analysis for defects and non-conformities; ensures compliance with ISO 9001.
