Appfire is seeking a Lead QA Engineer to advance Playwright automation for UI and API tests on large SaaS products. This is a senior IC role in a remote-first, global engineering setup, with deep ownership of automation standards and a mentor-driven approach, not a people-manager position.

You will shape testing strategies, collaborate with architects and leads, and drive CI/CD quality gates across squads while delivering reliable, scalable test platforms in a distributed team environment.

Competenze

• 7+ years in QA/test engineering on large SaaS products.
• Hands-on Playwright (UI & API) with JS/TS and/or Python.
• Experience with AI-assisted test design, failure analysis, and coaching.

Mansioni

• Build and refactor Playwright automation (UI and API) and set shared patterns and quality gates.
• Serve as primary technical escalation for unstable suites, CI bottlenecks, and flaky tests.
• Define test data and environment patterns to scale automation in CI/CD.
• Advise on API, component-level, and E2E test strategy with architects and leads.
• Mentor QA engineers on Playwright, CI, and AI-assisted workflows; promote reusable approaches.
• Collaborate with DevOps on shift-left testing and maintainable test environments.
• Communicate quality trade-offs and risks to leadership.
