Job summary

Riot Games in Los Angeles seeks a QA Engineer II for the Organized Play team. You will partner with engineers, producers, and UI/UX to drive testing strategy and ensure quality is built in from the start.

You’ll mentor testers, influence release readiness, and help maintain match quality for high-skill players. You’ll analyze test coverage, defects, and risks, communicating insights to stakeholders and guiding test execution across distributed teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of QA experience leading testing efforts.
• Experience owning defect databases with triage and reporting.
• Experience coordinating remote testers in distributed teams.
• Experience in multidisciplinary Agile environments.
• Ability to analyze quality metrics and produce actionable reports.
• Proficiency with Unreal Engine 4 or 5 and FPS game context.
• Certifications listed in the qualifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own quality outcomes for assigned systems and features, including risk assessment and release readiness.
• Lead defect triage, prioritization, and cross-disciplinary communication.
• Design, improve, and drive test strategies and methodologies for your product space.
• Execute and/or delegate whitebox and blackbox testing; coordinate with remote testers.
• Provide continuous, actionable feedback on features, UX, and technical implementations.
• Partner with engineers to push quality upstream and improve testability.
• Author and maintain test plans with scalable coverage.
• Analyze and report on test coverage, defect trends, and overall quality to stakeholders.
• Mentor less experienced testers to uplift team quality practices.
