Job summary

Riot Games’ Organized Play team is seeking a QA Engineer II to own quality outcomes for VALORANT features and services, partnering with engineers, producers, and UI/UX developers to drive testing strategy from early stages. You’ll influence development practices, lead defect triage, and mentor teammates to ensure scalable test execution.

Qualifications

• 3+ years Software Quality Assurance Experience, with success leading testing efforts on a team.
• Experience owning areas of a defect database, including triage, prioritization, and reporting
• Experience coordinating and guiding remote or distributed testers
• Experience working embedded within multidisciplinary Agile teams
• Experience analyzing quality metrics and creating actionable reports on test coverage and defect data

Responsibilities

• Own quality outcomes for assigned systems and features, including risk assessment and release readiness
• Lead defect triage, prioritization, and communication across disciplines
• Design, improve, and drive test strategies and methodologies for your product space
• Execute and/or delegate whitebox and blackbox testing, including coordination with remote testers
• Provide continuous, actionable feedback on features, UX, and technical implementations
• Partner with engineers and developers to push quality upstream and improve testability
• Author and maintain test plans, ensuring comprehensive and scalable test coverage
• Analyze and report on test coverage, defect trends, and overall product quality to stakeholders
• Mentor less experienced testers or contributors and help elevate quality practices across the team
