Job summary

Sound Decisions is seeking a QA Engineer to lead quality assurance across our software products. You will own test strategy, strengthen testing processes, and partner with engineering, product, and customers to raise the quality bar.

You will drive automation, contribute to CI/CD, and ensure robust defect management. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in software QA, strong FinTech/e-commerce knowledge, and proven leadership in QA efforts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software quality assurance experience.
• Experience leading or coordinating QA efforts.
• Strong FinTech and e-commerce domain knowledge.
• Proficient in test planning, exploratory, regression and defect management.
• Strong problem-solving and detail orientation.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the overall QA strategy across products.
• Design and execute test plans for new products and enhancements.
• Lead shift-left quality practices in planning and requirements discussions.
• Identify, document, and track defects with reproducible detail.
• Retest fixes and ensure root causes are addressed.
• Expand test automation and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Provide guidance to improve regression coverage and tooling.
• Monitor quality metrics and communicate risks to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, implementation, and support.
